What’s Next for Oren Codes (and Why I’m Stepping Away)

Hey everyone,

When I started Oren Codes, I had big plans. I wanted to build something that helped people learn backend engineering the way I wish someone had taught me — step by step, with real-world clarity.

But if I’m honest, I never quite got this project to where I wanted it to be. There are only a handful of posts here, and I’ve spent more time planning what it could become than actually building it. Still, what did come to life — the 30-Day Python Challenge — reached hundreds of you. That means more to me than you know.

For now, I’m stepping away. An opportunity came along that I simply can’t pass up, and it’ll require all my focus for the next chapter. So I’m putting Oren Codes on pause.

Everything will stay as it is — the site, the challenge, and your access to it. Nothing’s going away. I just won’t be publishing new content for a while.

If you’ve been following along, learning Python through the challenge, or just reading quietly in the background — thank you. You were here at the very beginning, and that means everything.

I don’t know when I’ll return, but I do hope that when I do, I’ll have something even better to share — something worthy of your attention and your inbox.

Until then, keep building cool things.
